Tour Description:
Our signature tour, devoted exclusively to coffee–the FIRST of its kind in Seattle, enjoyed by visitors from as far away as New Zealand and as nearby as next door. Seattle is home to the world’s largest concentration of coffee roasters (more than 70) and it’s the birthplace of the world’s dominant purveyor of coffee drinks. On this coffee crawl, we will delve into the history and the mystery of Seattle’s obsession with coffee–from the inside story of Starbucks to the emergence of latte art. Best of all, we will sample a variety of blends, roasts and brews at some of the city’s best-loved coffee houses.
Starting location:
Hammering Man | Seattle Art Museum
First Avenue & University Street
Tour ends:
CAFFE UMBRIA
Historic District | Pioneer Square
320 Occidental Avenue South
Distance:
1.78 miles
DRESS FOR THE WEATHER!
Don’t worry about the weather! We are “trained” locals who can shimmy and shake around anything mother nature throws at us. You can’t let the rain stop you in Seattle! Please wear layers, comfy shoes and a smile. Even though you won’t see many umbrellas in Seattle, be comfortable and bring your umbrella. If the weather is warm please bring some water.
